Egg Sandwich Making Procedure

All egg sandwiches are perfect – say it with us. There are three different types of egg sandwiches one can make – boiled egg sandwich, fried egg sandwich and egg salad sandwich. The boiled egg sandwich filling is made of sliced or mashed hard boiled eggs and is usually served with watercress and sometimes even with chutney. The fried egg sandwich, as the name suggests, is made with fried eggs (sunny side up), seasoned simply with salt & pepper and is served with crispy bacon slices. The egg salad sandwich is made of egg salad. This recipe will show you how to make a classic, delicious fried egg sandwich. The ingredients you will require for this recipe are:

  • 2 tbsp of butter
  • 2 large, free range eggs
  • 2 slices of cheese
  • 4 slices of white bread
  • 2 tbsp of mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp of ketchup
  • salt
  • pepper
  • crispy bacon sliced or chopped (optional)

Place a large pan over a medium flame. Melt 1 tbsp of butter in the pan. Once the butter is melted, crack the eggs into the pan. Season the egg with salt and pepper. Cook over the medium flame until the egg is as firm as you desire. Then place one slice of cheese on each egg and allow this to melt before taking it out of the pan. Use the remaining butter to butter the bread slices and toast them on the pan. Spread mayonnaise and ketchup on the bread. Place bacon (optional) on the bread slice. then place the egg and cover the egg with another slice of bread. Cut in half and serve hot.
